To add text, position text, and make lists:
All of these functions operate in Dreamweaver very much in the same way they
do in Word. Positioning, fonts, sizes, styles, ordered, unordered, and nested
lists, as well as definition lists tools are all accessible from the text Property
Inspector. If you need more help with these functions, click the
on the Property Inspector while you have your insertion point in a text area
of your document.
Notes: Your Spell Checker can accessed from Text
on the tool bar.
- Hitting Enter at the end of a word, line, or phrase in Dreamweaver
inserts a paragraph break
(skips two lines). To insert a single
line break
use Shift+Enter.
- The Format pop-up menu on the Property Inspector allows you to create
headings of various sizes quickly.
- A Definition List consists of a series of terms and their definitions.
The word or term to be defined is left-justified; the definition is indented
and placed on the next line.
- Ordered Lists are numbered. Unordered Lists are bulletted.
Nested Lists are lists within lists and can be combinations of ordered
and unordered.
- Not all font faces are available on all computers. If the font you use is
not installed on the user's computer, then your text will be displayed in
that computer's default font face.
